When and why did you begin writing?
I have been writing as long as I can remember. Seems ever since I was little I had a pen and paper in hand, writing poems and stories.
What inspired you to write your first book?
My first book was a collection of essays (papers) I wrote for University classes. My first poetry collection was inspired by my desire to have my work be read.
Do you have a specific writing style?
Nope, I try my hand at everything and all.
How did you come up with the title?
For "A Yellow Sunshine Night"? This came from a night pend with my three best friends in University. We spent the whole night discussing the content of the book. I put together a small chapbook at the time, which was well received. I expanded it for this day and age.
Is there a message that you want conveyed to readers?
Yes, give peace a chance and be free.
What books have most influenced your life?
Narnia series, The Bible, Book of Common Prayer and
Mere Christianity
If you had to choose, which writer would you consider a mentor?
Dylan Thomas. John Lennon.
What are your current projects?
Working on a novel and a new poetry collection.
Do you see writing as a career?
I see writing as being..as necessary as taking a breathe.
Do you recall how your interest in writing originated?
Nope, God gave me this gift, I guess.
Is there anything you find particularly challenging in your writing?
Not really.
Who is your favourite author and what is it that really strikes you about their work?
C. S. Lewis--his style and ease was impressive.
